Join a fast-paced working environment of a newly established EMI in Nicosia. We are seeking a candidate with 3- 5 Years’ experience in compliance to join the organisation as an assistant compliance manager/deputy MLCO.

A background in EMI or Banking industry would also be preferred, and the candidate must have proficient skills in Microsoft Office i.e., Word and Excel.

Also, essential that applicants have excellent written and spoken communication skills and are confident in communicating with external partners and colleagues at all levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Providing support to the compliance team with all EMI reporting obligations.
  • Keeping up to date and following up with national and EU legal/regulatory developments
  • Performing reviews in accordance with the company’s compliance risk assessment and monitoring program to assess the company’s compliance with its legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of a risk-based compliance monitoring program. 
  • Assisting in the drafting and/or amending AML policies and procedures.
  • Conducting client due diligence and preparing reports during onboarding and periodic evaluations. 
  • Conducting 3rd Party due diligence and periodic reviews.
  • Conducting and managing sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening alerts.
  • Document authenticity verification using available software.
  • Assisting in the AML and Sanctions risk assessment reports.
  • Providing supervision, assistance and support to the other compliance team members.
  • Evaluation and submission of SARs reports
  • Assisting in the preparation of periodic and annual reports submitted to CBC. 
  • Performing any other compliance-related tasks that may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University Degree in Finance, Business, Legal or similar 
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in AML
  • Experience within regulated Electronic Money, Banking and/or Payments or other regulated industries. 
  • Professional Qualifications such as ICA, ACAMS or CySEC’s AML Certificate will be considered as an Advantage.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English 
  • High attention to detail.
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.
