Our client who provides world-class services in enterprise architecture consulting, user experience design, enterprise mobile app engineering, and development, active software maintenance, software testing, and production operations support is seeking a Corporate Compliance Officer, for their offices in Nicosia (opportunity for flexible working).

Job Overview:

This role resides in the business administration and works closely with the company management. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring regulatory changes that affect the company are identified, processes designed and implemented, as well as the necessary training is created and communicated to the office employees.

Reports to:

The Corporate Compliance Officer will report directly to the Chief Technical Officer. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day regulatory compliance;
  • Perform agreement reviews and compliance checks on counterparty;
  • Provide review and comments to internal and external publications and related disclaimers and disclosures, advise on the rules and ensure compliance with relevant regulations;
  • Prepare regulatory filings, annual reviews, and risk assessments;
  • Assist with the monitoring and conducting of compliance testing, and prepare and update policies and procedures and related training materials;
  • Schedule and conduct internal audits, arrange external audits;
  • Coordinate department preparation for external audits;
  • Ensure development of business-specific policies and procedures; (create, review, implement, communicate, train, etc); develop process and methodology for documenting operations compliance workflows.
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place to support and monitor the company’s current and new business, ensuring consistency with group standards and procedures;
  • Develop and coordinate corrective action plans in response to deficiencies that are identified through internal monitoring/audits or external audits;
  • Provide clarification/interpretation on requirements, documents response, and communicates to relevant parties;
  • Provide support for various ad hoc compliance issues and projects to support and enhance the compliance program.
  • Take responsibility for the existing company compliance and certifications such as occupational health and safety, environmental management, privacy and security, ethics & privacy, Code of Conduct, etc.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the field of Auditing or Corporate Compliance role; Fluency in English and Greek language.
  • Candidates must be able to adapt to fast-growing and evolving businesses with the ability to work independently;
  • Experience and expertise in implementing a compliance program, including drafting and implementing compliance policies, training, auditing, monitoring, and conducting investigations; Team player with excellent judgment and high integrity;
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to express complex information to business leaders in a clear and concise manner;
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and IT industry best practices;
  • Demonstrable experience taking ownership of issues and providing practical advice.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge/understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 23001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001, GDPR; will be seen as an advantage.
  • Experience in developing & maintaining QMS, ISMS;
  • Experience in Risk Assessment, and Audits;

 

  • Ability to conduct readiness/gap assessments, and provide recommendations; Understanding of secure coding practices, threat modeling, and secure SDLC process;
  • Understanding of DR / BCP;
  • Understanding of IT and information security trends challenges;
