Head of Payments Manager - Limassol

Our client is a technology company, developing platforms for the sports-betting and gaming industry. Providing services online (mobile & apps) but also in local retail shops all over Africa. Their platform is being used by B2B customers as a wide label to promote their services. The main objective of the company is to deliver the best strategic tools to customers and the ultimate goal is to develop a customer-oriented product offering advance and secure platforms and offers for gaming and sports. The number one priority for the company is to make sure that the customers are playing safely, securely and responsibly with the main aim to help customers find a betting site that is most suited to their needs. 

Due to the high volume of customer transactions, we are seeking a Head of Payments Manager and the ideal candidate is someone who understands how to optimise end-to-end online payments, the options available and the payments flow. Additionally, he/she is able to think strategically and can successfully lead processes and people;


  • Plan, manage and own an optimal payments strategy for our B2C business partner network
  • Initiate and manage commercial and operational relationships with payment partners and Mobile Network Operators
  • Research and develop new partnerships to expand Impala’s reach within its operational markets
  • Be the business owner that directs the payments product roadmap both in terms of deposit and withdrawal user experience and payments integrations
  • Manage a small team performing monitoring and reconciliations with payment providers to ensure they upskill where required and can become more effective and efficient with the growth of the company
  • Drive Impala to be first to market with payment innovation
  • Champion responsible gaming across the payments environment
  • Work closely with many departments across different locations
  • Be a part of an innovative environment and have a direct impact on the corporate culture and business growth of the company


  • 5+ years of proven experience in managing relationships within Fintech and/or online payments providers, preferably in real money online gaming
  • Experience in working closely with a payments product roadmap
  • Knowledge in the global Fintech or payments industry
  • Ability to think ‘out of the box’, see the big picture and the details
  • Service-oriented & positive approach, can-do attitude
  • Negotiation skills
  • English Proficiency (verbal and written) at a very high level – a must
  • Fluency with working on contracts in the payments space
