Our client is a leading global financial services company that provides quality financial advice and wealth management solutions to discerning international clients with 13 international offices in Europe, Asia, and Africa, all supported by over 450 personnel.  All wealth managers in our client's Cyprus location are trained and qualified to UK standards. Many hold qualifications from the UK’s Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI), or the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF). Our client holds the necessary CySEC licence and operates robust compliance processes.

The company is hiring a full-time Junior Compliance Officer for their insurance entity in Paphos (Hybrid role).

The Role

  • Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring with the Annual Compliance Plan
  • Assist with reviews & monitoring of the business with emphasis on key areas such as Sales practices, Anti-money Laundering, and Privacy. 
  • Assist with the implementation, monitoring and testing Company’s Anti Money Laundering and Data Privacy programs. Provides reporting to local and regional management on all compliance risks, issues and concerns. 
  • Assist with the compliance training program to ensure that staff are educated, kept fully up to date and understand the required aspects of compliance rules and regulations
  • Assist with the monitoring that there are appropriate policies and procedures in place to meet our regulatory requirements. 
  • Assist with monitoring trends, industry practices/developments, new regulations, and emerging risks

Requirements

  • Excellent command of the English language is required.
  • Previous experience in a similar position
