A well-established Forex Company, with a people centric culture is seeking to recruit an experienced lawyer to join their Legal, AML & Compliance team in Limassol.

The successful candidate will be able to drive the legal strategy of the Company under the supervision of CFO whilst providing analysis and counsel on legal policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for anticipating and guarding against legal risks facing the company as well as the development and proposal of company policy on various legal issues
  • Provide analysis and counsel on legal policy issues to include proposed new products, protecting intellectual property, nondisclosure agreements, outsourcing agreements and some licensing and legal issues
  • Anticipate and guard against legal risks facing the company
  • Prepare legal pleadings, motions, discovery, stipulations etc.
  • Write, review and edit reports, opinions, correspondence, articles and other documents
  • Write and administer vendor, client, business partners and employment contracts
  • Design and oversee the company’s policy and position on legal matters
  • To act as the company’s legal secretary as and when required
  • Assist the AML & Compliance Department and CFO with various projects or duties as and when required
  • Responsible for AML procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB)
  • Holder of AML Certificate will be considered as an advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a corporate lawyer
  • Legal awareness within a regulated environment is desirable
  • Licensed to practice law from the Cyprus Bar Association will be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English
  • Strong computer literacy
  • High attention to detail
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
