The MENA Business Development Manager is responsible for overseeing all regional specific sales activities to ensure that sales policies, procedures, and controls are being adhered to and sales activities are being undertaken in accordance with risk appetite and tolerances of the Board. Reports to the Chief Business Development Officer with sales related matters.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies
  • Actively develop and foster relationships with potential clients
  • Oversee and assist with the monitoring of client accounts, transactions and behaviours for activity that may be indicative of money laundering and terrorism financing in accordance with internal policies, procedures and controls
  • Ensure that all material sales matters are reported to the Chief Executive Officer in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage and retain documentation that is the responsibility of the Chief Business Development Officer in accordance with internal policies, procedures and controls

  •  A university degree or equivalent in management, business, commerce, or such other relevant subject
  •  5+ years in a sales management role with a focus on MENA business development in a similar FX role
  •  2+ years in the derivatives issuer industry is preferable
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sales strategy
  • Excellent knowledge of or interest in foreign exchange, derivatives trading, investing, or the financial markets.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and human resource management skills
  • Ability to manage and delegate confidently
  • Strategic thinker with a client focused attitude
  • Self-motivated with an ability to deliver results

  • Experience building and managing a team encompassing all areas of sales and business development.
  • Experience managing a sales budget
  • Good understanding of financial markets law, including but not limited to, Financial Markets Conduct Act (and related regulations), Anti-Money Laundering and Countering of Financing of Terrorism Act (and related regulations and materials), and the Financial Service Providers Act
  • Fluent in English and second European language

Excellent base pay based on Skill and Experience + bonus + travel and benefits
