Our client is a multinational Fin-tech Group, is the financial division of a PLC listed on the FTSE 250 and has over 600 clients across 80 countries spanning CFD retail brokers, banks, hedge funds, professional traders and asset managers.

A market leader in next-generation multi-channel trading software, systems and liquidity services.

They are seeking to hire a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team in Nicosia.

The role

Reporting to the Team Leader this role will be responsible for the bookkeeping and client management and cash aspects of the operations for the Group. The main day-to-day responsibilities will be client cash transfers and queries, booking of purchase invoices, bank reconciliations and related bookkeeping tasks. The role will be suited to a very hands-on individual within a busy but varied Finance Team. There will also be the opportunity for projects to improve system utilisation and business intelligence.

Responsibilities:

  • Booking client cash transfers and responding to queries
  • Daily reconciliations of multi-currency bank accounts and posting of cash entries to the accounting and trading platforms
  • Booking of purchase invoices, credit card transactions
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Regular reporting on client trading activities and reconciliations
  • Assisting with annual audit
  • Carry out such administrative duties which may be assigned
  • Finance cover within the team during absences

There are ongoing projects to which the position can contribute:

  • Improved utilisation of the accounting system
  • Integration of general ledger system and back office system
  • Automation of accounting processes

Requirement:

  • Drive and enthusiasm – a positive attitude and open to learning
  • Experience with general ledger sub-ledger processing and related controls

  • An innovative personality – Identifying and improving inefficiencies
  • Desirable – Experience using SAP general ledger system
