Our client in the innovative tech sector is looking for a skilled Tax and VAT Manager to join its office in Limassol. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall compliance of the Group Companies.
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility over the tax and VAT compliance of the Cypriot companies of the Group;
- Preparation and submission of income tax computations, tax returns and VAT returns for Group companies in Cyprus;
- Review and monitoring of tax and VAT compliance of Group companies in other jurisdictions;
- Ensuring international tax compliance of the Group companies (transfer pricing, DAC6, CFC rules, CbCR etc.);
- Maintaining effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax and VAT process;
- Review agreements and transactions from a tax and VAT perspective to identify possible risks;
- Providing tax and VAT advice to the Group companies;
- Handling tax and VAT matters of the group and liaising with external auditors, in-house finance teams, bankers, lawyers and advisors;
- Any other ad-hoc tasks.
Requirements:
- Membership with a professional accounting body (ACA, ACCA) is a must;
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the tax or VAT department within a big-four firm will be considered an advantage;
- Excellent knowledge of the Cypriot tax legislation and principles of international Tax Law;
- Experience in preparation/filing of all types of tax forms and returns;
- Knowledge of international tax regulations (transfer pricing, DAC6, CFC rules, CbCR etc.) will be considered an advantage;
- Excellent command of the English language. Russian language will be considered an advantage;
- Ability to use MS Excel to a high standard is a must;
- Strong analytical and organizational skills;
- Being able to work independently, with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines;
- High level of commitment with a drive to deliver results under pressure;
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills;
- Flexibility, accountability & responsibility.
